Mason Jar Brewing Company honored as Menifee’s June Business Spotlight
The City of Menifee is thrilled to announce The Mason Jar Brewing Company (MJBC) as the June Business Spotlight, which is a part of the Menifee Economic Development Department’s B3 (Building Better Businesses) program. What began as an escape from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives soon transformed into the full-scale operation known today as The Mason Jar Brewing Company. From creating and brewing craft beer in their home using mason jars to taking the leap by opening their very own brewery, founders Robert Carter and Grace Santiago discovered that their quality time together brewing delicious beer had turned into a successful passion project. Mason Jar Brewing Company was founded in the same city that Robert and Grace live, eat, play, and have raised a family: Menifee, California.
After winning several awards for their mastered brew, including Gold for their dark chocolate coconut raspberry stout in one of the largest home-brew competitions in the nation, Robert and Grace knew they wanted to create their own brewery that went "back to basics," crafting only the best products possible using premium hops and fresh, locally grown produce. More than just a brewery, The Mason Jar Brewing Company proudly focuses on strong community and family values, with a passion for brewing exceptional beer and creating a welcoming environment where their guests feel right at home, from the moment they step through the door to their first sip.
As one of Menifee’s first micro-breweries, MJBC has its roots entrenched in the Menifee community. “Our hope was to create a meeting place where people could enjoy good beer and connect with one another,” said business owner Grace Santiago. “This place has a spirit like no other, people make friends here, conduct business, cry, laugh, and above all make memories that will last a lifetime.”
MJBC is being honored for their notable generosity in the Menifee community, including hosting fundraisers for cancer patients and pet adoptions. In addition, they regularly donate to local organizations including the Firefighter Benevolent Fund, Tribute to the Fallen Memorial Day Remembrance, Habitat to Humanity, Mt. San Jacinto College, Arts Council of Menifee and many more. MJBC has also offered their meeting space to those in need and non-profits such as Rotary Club of Menifee, meet and greets, the business community, community members and more.
