Menifee Reaches 100,000 Resident Milestone
Having just celebrated its 13th birthday of incorporation, Menifee achieved another milestone: surpassing a population of 105,000 and becoming the third-fastest growing city in California, according to the latest U.S. Census figures.
Menifee grew by 25,008 residents – more than 32% – between the 2010 and 2020 Census. Additionally, Menifee has been listed by the Department of Finance as the second-fastest growing city in Riverside County (for cities with a population over 30,000) and the third-fastest growing in Riverside County overall, from January 2020 to January 2021. As Menifee continues to gain the attention of new residents and businesses, it is Menifee’s clean, vibrant and safe community that is gaining the attention of many- being most notably recognized nationally as 35th Boomtown in America, and ranked 35th in the state of CA for safety.
Despite the historically low growth rate in the state (-0.46%), Menifee and Riverside County continue to flourish and sustain top-ranking positions for population expansion in the region and state, with Menifee expected to grow 10% over the next two years outpacing neighboring cities with population surpassing 116,000. Menifee’s City Council and executive leadership continue to plan and prepare for the growth the city is experiencing now, and into the future with infrastructure, traffic circulation, enhanced safety, parks and amenities and overall enhanced services and programming in the city.
